Bronx Week is back from May 1st through May 17th, 2026, with a series of events across the borough. Now in its 54th year, the annual celebration brings together local organizations, businesses, and residents to celebrate all that The Bronx has to offer.

Earlier this year, the event faced cancellation due to budget concerns. But the community response pushed it back onto the calendar, which adds a layer of meaning to this year’s return.

How Bronx Week Comes Together Across the Borough

During Bronx Week, there is a lot going on throughout all the neighborhoods. There’s a mix of community-led events and borough-wide initiatives. The Bronx Tourism Council, the Borough President’s Office, and local partners coordinate a schedule of cultural events, small-business showcases, and public gatherings that showcase the borough’s day-to-day life.

One of the central moments of the week is the Bronx Ball, scheduled for May 16th from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at The Clubhouse at Bally’s Ferry Point. The event recognizes new inductees to the Bronx Walk of Fame and presents the Key to the Borough, along with a People’s Choice Award selected by Bronx residents. Other long-standing parts of the week, including a parade and additional public events, take place as the schedule fills in closer to May.

Bronx Week continues because people participate each year. It remains a borough-wide effort that reflects the communities it represents.

New York City’s event community comes together every October for The Event Planner Expo. Lock down a booth on the trade show floor and connect with the industry pros to help grow your business.
