It’s official: the holiday season has arrived in New York City! The Rockettes return to Radio City Music Hall on November 4th, and the 2026 edition of the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes shows off a few new tricks to a holiday tradition that already knows how to put on a show.
When Does the Christmas Spectacular Run in 2026?
The Christmas Spectacular runs from November 4th, 2026 through January 4th, 2027 at Radio City Music Hall. It features 230 performances, the most in the show’s history, so there are plenty of chances to fit a Rockettes night into your holiday plans.
And yes, the Rockettes are still the stars of the show.
What’s New for the Rockettes This Year?
The 2026 production introduces a brand new Rockettes number called “Ring,” set to the familiar sound of “Carol of the Bells.” Emmy nominated choreographer Chloe Arnold brings contemporary tap choreography to the number, which also uses new immersive camera technology.
Those cameras capture the Rockettes from different angles, including overhead, side, and front views. Audiences get a closer look at the choreography with screens beside the stage that give different perspectives.
The show also uses digital projections, holographic animation, fairy drones, and Radio City’s Sphere Immersive Sound system.
What Can You Expect From the Christmas Spectacular?
The total number of Rockettes numbers in the 2026 production to ten. Every year, the Christmas Spectacular delivers the familiar combination of music, dance, costumes, sets, and holiday storytelling that has made the show a New York tradition.
The scale is part of the fun. This is Radio City, after all.
The Rockettes have been part of New York’s holiday season for generations, and the Christmas Spectacular turns that tradition into a full production. The 2026 additions give longtime fans something new to see while keeping the heart of the show at the center.
What Should You Know Before You Go?
The Christmas Spectacular lasts 90 minutes with no intermission. Doors open one hour before showtime, and the official recommendation is to arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance.
Tickets are digital, and the official site recommends having them ready before you arrive. If you arrive after the show starts, you may have to wait for a scene change before you can take your seat.
That 90 minute format also makes the show an easy addition to a holiday evening in Midtown. Grab dinner before or after, take a walk past the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, or keep the night going around the neighborhood.
Can You Plan a Group Outing to See the Rockettes?
Absolutely. Groups of nine or more can access group tickets, preferred group pricing, exclusive group experiences, and a dedicated sales representative. That makes the Christmas Spectacular a great option for corporate outings, client entertainment, or a holiday celebration with a larger crew.
The Rockettes have officially arrived, which means NYC’s holiday season is ready to begin. Cue the Christmas music.
The countdown is on, and The Event Planner Expo is right around the corner. If you’ve been meaning to attend, now is the time to make it official. Grab your tickets for October 27th–29th and get ready to meet exhibitors, connect with industry pros, discover fresh ideas, and spend three days immersed in the world of events.
