What is The Orchid Show: Mr. Flower Fantastic’s Concrete Jungle?
The Orchid Show is an annual exhibition at the NYBG. Every year is unique. For 2026, they have partnered with floral artist Mr. Flower Fantastic to reinterpret the space.
His installations pair orchids with a nod to NYC life, like neighborhood details and urban textures. Visitors explore the Conservatory and encounter large floral scenes set against familiar city backdrops.
When is the Exhibition Open?
The Orchid Show is already underway and goes through April 26th, 2026. The exhibition remains open daily during the Garden’s regular public hours.
Where is it Located?
The show takes place inside the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory at the New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY.
The Conservatory houses the main installations and serves as the centerpiece of the exhibition.
Who is Mr. Flower Fantastic?
Mr. Flower Fantastic grew up in Queens and taught himself floral design. He gained national attention in 2018 after presenting a large floral sculpture inspired by Serena Williams’ Nike “QUEEN” Air Max 97 during the U.S. Open.
He collaborates with major brands and cultural institutions. He’s known for sculptural floral work that combines fashion, pop culture, and bold visuals. His signature mask and gloves remain part of his identity.
How Do I Get Tickets?
Admission to The Orchid Show requires a New York Botanical Garden ticket. Regular daytime admission includes access to the exhibition inside the Conservatory.
Advance purchase is recommended for weekends and peak spring dates. Separate tickets apply for certain evening events.
What are Orchid Nights?
Orchid Nights are 21+ evening events held on select dates:
March 21st and 28th, April 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th, and 25th from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Special tickets are required.
During Orchid Nights, the Conservatory hosts DJ sets from April Hunt and Mixtape. Food and delish craft cocktails are available for purchase, and guests explore the exhibition after dark.
Are There Additional Programs Tied to the Show?
Yes. Weekend Orchid Basics Q&A sessions take place from February 7th through April 26th, 2026. Visitors can ask questions about orchid care and cultivation.
Meet the Orchid Experts appears on select Saturdays and Sundays during the exhibition. The Orchid Show Sensory Stations take place on select dates in February, March, and April.
