Every June, thousands of people head to Prospect Park carrying picnic baskets, bottles of wine, table decorations, and plans for dinner. The annual Prospect Park Soiree returns on June 20th and is hosted by the Prospect Park Alliance. It’s an exciting evening filled with outdoor dining, live entertainment, and dancing to one of Brooklyn’s most recognizable parks.
Dinner and Dancing in Prospect Park
The Prospect Park Soiree is all about guests creating their own experience for the night. Tables and chairs are provided, but attendees bring their own food, drinks, and decor. Festive attire is encouraged, and decorated tables have become part of the tradition over the years.
The evening begins with dinner on the Peninsula as the sun goes down. Later, Brooklyn United’s HBCU-style drumline takes the stage before DJ Suga Ray takes over for a dance party in the park. Guests can also purchase wine, beer, cider, and water onsite through City Winery.
The Soiree is a 21+ event, and proceeds support Prospect Park Alliance and its work throughout the park.
