When the weather warms up in New York City, locals know it’s time for Smorgasburg to return. Each spring, one of the largest outdoor food markets sets up shop in three different NYC locations. The weekly series brings dozens of local food vendors together across Manhattan and Brooklyn. Dishes range from street food staples to exciting specialty items. The market began in Williamsburg in 2011 and now attracts millions of visitors each season.
The 2026 season begins in April and runs through the fall. Each weekend gives visitors several chances to stop by, depending on the day and neighborhood. Admission is free, and the format works like an open market where guests move from vendor to vendor and sample different foods.
