Speaker Bio: Lauren Grech

Lauren Grech is the CEO of LLG, a global agency which operates within five independent industries: hospitality, tourism, media, education, and weddings. LLG grew out of Lauren's international event management and design firm specializing in luxury destination weddings and experiential events in New York City and worldwide, after she saw an industry-wide need for event standards, vendor accreditation and defining wedding tourism, as well as developed strategies for hotels, resorts, venues and tourism boards to attract and retain luxury destination weddings and events. 
Lauren is also an adjunct professor and curriculum builder for New York University’s upcoming M.S. in Event Management program, the first of its kind in the country. In addition to educating on international business, tourism, hospitality and events in class, Lauren regularly speaks at other Universities, at LLG's free monthly meetups for students and young professionals, and serves as a panelist amongst other industry C-level executives. She has been invited to speak at the first-ever International Women In Travel & Tourism Summit in Iceland, as well as the BrideLux Symposium in London. Lauren is also a Global Luxury Expert for the Luxury Institute.
Lauren is a 29-year-old first-generation Peruvian American whose background is in research and development science, as her formal education originally led her to a career of forensic toxicology. After planning her own wedding, she became enamored with the industry and began volunteering for 32 hours most weekends, working every job from barback to waiting tables to bridal attending to valet to wedding planning. "I shadowed everyone I could, to learn every aspect of the industry. I knew that if I was going to be successful and respected, I needed to also have respect and exposure to every position," says Lauren.
Within three years, LLG became the youngest company ever-invited to the Destination Wedding Planners Congress, where 70+ countries are represented by luxury vendors that cater to celebrities and royalty, and was nominated for a 2019 ACE Planner Award for North America. Lauren has been recognized by Luxury Daily; named Corporate & Incentive Travel’s Most Influential Women in the Meeting Industry for 2019; and PeopleMaven’s Up-and-Coming Founders and Top Wedding Planners in the United States. Martha Stewart recognized her event designs as one of the top trends for 2018, and she is an exclusive invitee to Vanity Fair’s 2019 New Establishment Summit. In 2019 alone, she secured over $1 million in corporate-sponsored travel to discover new destination wedding venues and trends. Her expertise has been published in over 100+ unique publications worldwide.
Lauren strives to incorporate philanthropy into every aspect of her business, earning a 2018 Forbes30Under30 nomination for social entrepreneurship. Lauren plans annual pro-bono weddings for couples in need who are putting their communities or a cause above themselves, earning coverage from broadcasts such as Good Morning America and Fox News. Lauren is also an advisory board member of VOW, a nonprofit that directly raise funds and awareness for the Girls First Fund, which fights to end child marriage around the globe.
In essence, Lauren is extremely passionate about empowering others to inspire positive change, and educating the next generation and future of our industry. Her mission is to refocus celebrations of love on what they’re truly about - putting others above yourself.
