Winter in New York City has a way of slowing things down, which is exactly what makes NYC Must-See Week such a welcomed event. Each year, the city offers this limited-time program as part of NYC Tourism’s Winter Outing lineup. It’s a chance to experience major attractions for less. If post-holiday budgets are tight but cabin fever is setting in, this is the week to get out and about for a fraction of the cost.

What to Know About NYC Must-See Week

NYC Must See-Week 2026 is set to run from January 20th through February 12th, 2006. It offers two-for-one admission pricing at participating attractions across all five boroughs. Purchase two tickets together, and each ticket is discounted half the price. It’s a great deal!

While the official list of participating spots has not been announced yet, last year’s program featured more than 60 experiences citywide. Based on previous seasons, visitors can expect a mix of:

  • Major museums and cultural institutions.
  • Observation decks with skyline views.
  • Guided tours at iconic NYC venues.
  • Broadway adjacent performances and live arts.
  • Wellness experiences and sports events.

Past participants have included well-known names, like MoMA, the Guggenheim, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Top of the Rock, Edge, One World Observatory, and Yankee Stadium Tours, giving a sense of the range that may return.

NYC Must-See Week is one of the best and most cost-efficient ways to explore the city. Once the official list drops, it becomes the perfect excuse to plan a few winter days that feel anything but ordinary.
