Want to skate beneath a famous bridge, circle the rink beside the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, or find a spot where you can hit the ice any time of year? NYC has a rink for all three, plus a few more worth adding to your winter plans.
Find Your Ice Skating Spot
- Roebling Rink at Brooklyn Bridge Park: Skate beneath the Brooklyn Bridge with Manhattan’s skyline across the water. The seasonal rink opens November 14th.
- Rockefeller Center: The classic Midtown skate returns for the rink’s 90th anniversary season. The Christmas tree is the bonus.
- Wollman Rink: Head into Central Park for skyline views and plenty of room to skate.
- Bryant Park: Admission is free if you bring your own skates. The Winter Village adds holiday shopping and snacks.
- Industry City: Skate in Sunset Park, then explore the Brooklyn campus for food and drinks.
- Brookfield Place: Trade the holiday crowds for Hudson River views and a downtown Manhattan backdrop.
- Chelsea Piers Sky Rink: This indoor rink is open year-round, with public sessions, rentals, and lessons.
- Riverbank State Park: The covered Harlem rink is a local option with Hudson River views and lower admission prices.
Some rinks are already open, and others will open in the coming weeks. Check each rink’s schedule and book a session before you go, especially for popular holiday dates.
