Long Play Festival returns this spring for a four-day celebration of concerts throughout Brooklyn. The New York Times has said, “Long Play…is already the most important classical music festival in New York City.”

Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of this “supercharged musical ride.”

A Four-Day Music Festival Take Over Brooklyn

Presented by Bang on a Can, Long Play Festival brings together more than 70 concerts into a network of venues in Downtown Brooklyn. These venues include BAM, BRIC, Pioneer Works, Roulette, Public Records, ISSUE Project Room, and Fort Greene Park. The program is contemporary and experimental, and performances range from large ensemble works to smaller, venue-based sets.

The festival is happening from April 30th through May 3rd, 2026. Most performances require a festival pass. One-day and full festival options are available, along with a selection of free outdoor shows.

A little insider tip: this format rewards a bit of planning, especially if you want to catch specific performances.

Long Play Festival is perfect for anyone interested in exploring different venues and experiencing a range of classical music in New York City.

It may be months away, but The Event Planner Expo will be here before we know it. Get yourself in a room with the industry’s top professionals to have important conversations and grow your business. It’s never too early to start planning. Secure those tickets today!
