The first Sunday in November finds New York City at its best, as fans in the five boroughs and around the world cheer on runners of the TCS New York City Marathon. The energy is electric. Thousands of runners, from elite athletes to first-timers, will move through the city’s iconic neighborhoods. And each step is a laced-up celebration of dedication, community, and sheer excitement.
Runners Take The Streets of New York City
Spectators can catch the action anywhere from mile 3 through mile 26, with grandstand seating tickets near the finish line becoming available soon. Some of the best spots to watch runners fly by include Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn, Flatbush Avenue, Williamsburg, the Queens side of the Pulaski Bridge, First Avenue, East Harlem, Fifth Avenue, Columbus Circle, and of course the dramatic finish in Central Park. If you can’t be there in person, the race will be streamed and broadcast live on ABC7NY, WABC-TV, ESPN2/3, iHeartRadio, and through mobile apps.
